A few random figures I’ve come across state ZR product sales were over 7,000 now and as of last summer they had sold 800 wireless EMK systems. Since the Pro Series Flyboard and Jetpack release I would guess another 2000 units for the 2015 flyboard and no idea on the Jetpack sales yet. These are stats that everyone in the industry are eager to see stated. What is the current global hydroflight sales picture?

Yes, I’m hopeful that the hydroflight industry will find creative ways to decrease rental/lesson costs over time providing opportunities for the general public to fly more often.

I’m curious where people think the best location would be for a major Hydroflight Championship? Flyboard World Championship is in Dubai for the next four years at least… where would you put a competition if you were running the show?

HDAV, I see a lot of guys flying in the Liquid Force helmets but I’d think if it’s enough for wakeboarding it’s enough for Hydroflight. Interesting that in the Pro Flyboarding competitions recently in the USA and Dubai helmets were not mandatory. In Toronto, Canada for the 2014 North American Flyboard Championship they were but that’s the only time I’ve seen that. http://www.liquidforce.com/helmets.html
Sorry for the incredibly slow reply… This forum is just getting off the ground. Thanks for helping be a part of that! – Cheers, Blaine

A few thoughts from the Flyboard Community regarding this question:

    1) Yes, but IBR system is non operational. Jet ski mode & FlyBoard mode work great!! However, IBR system (brake/reverse) will not work until ski is put back to stock.

    2) Once the entire IBR system is removed from the ski the easiest thing to do is just pull the fuse out for the IBR system to disable it.

    3) You can simply replace the bolts after you take off the IBR parts. The IBR actuator wil move but it does nothing of importance. You can use a quick nozzle to switch back to jetski mode without the brakes or nozzle trim. Just let off the gas sooner…

Just received this question that I’m hoping someone can help answer: Can a flyboard be used on a seadoo with IBR?

Thanks for getting the ball rolling here Nick. I fly in Victoria, BC CANADA and then jump in the media line at events so Qatar, Dubai… Louisiana? Looking forward to experiencing many more of the awesome rides out there including your JetDeck!
