Here is the course and as you can see there are some strategic choices when it comes to the competitors lines.
MotoSurf GP of China Qualifying Round
Look at that top three in Qualifying. Very tight finishes within half a second and yet how familiar. Jakub Kornfeil (0:41.47) holding off JetSurf CEO Martin Sula (0.41:72) and teen phenom Lukas Zahorsky (0:41.86). Riders hoping to see a chink in Jakub’s armor for some hope and he gives them nothing. Further fueling his psychological advantage that he is the one in control and even if you get within a half second of me I will still impose my will and finish ahead of you.
You may have simply started to cheer against him in the hopes that someone else might actually stand atop a MotoSurf GP 2015 podium but this weekend in China Jakub Kornfeil took the opportunity to end any conversation as to who the best motosurfer in the world is.
Jakub went undefeated during this entire 2015 season, winning all four races of the 2015 MotoSurf GP season. Fourteen year old Lukas Zahorsky finished second while JetSurf CEO Martin Sula had his best finish of the year in third place.
Every e-surfer in the field must be asking themselves what is it going to take to dethrone this guy. It’s not like Jakub’s margin of victory has be huge every time. He edge out a first place qualifying finish in China by only a quarter of a second. You would think that at some point during these four races Mr. Kornfeil would have faltered just enough to allow a title to change hands… but he never did. Competitors from around the world will have some serious off season work to do to ensure they keep can keep up with Jakub and his fellow Czech power surfers.
